Class – Macrame Plant Holders with Carla Buzzatto

CLASS DESCRIPTION: We will be learning the basics of macramé knot tying and putting it to practice by making a plant hanger.

INSTRUCTOR: Carla Buzzatto Carla grew up with a love of fashion and creating. She learned how to sew and crochet at the age of six and ever since, she has been continuously working with her hands. She received a Fine Arts degree from Seton Hill University in Greensburg Pennsylvania where she continued to develop her artistic hand. With the college mentality of having a budget, she learned how to save money on clothes by recreating and doing DIY (do it yourself) projects of trending garments. She always had the mentality, “if I can make it myself, why should I buy it?” This caused her to crochet her first pair of barefoot sandals. She received such a positive response from friends and family that she decided to create an Etsy storefront page called BeachBaeCrochet and sell to the public. Since the launch of her business in 2015, it has grown to her selling crochet tops, skirts, bathing suits, jewelry, and purses. She tries to only use items that are all natural and/or treasures of nature such as freshwater pearls, 100% mercerized cotton, and seashells.
