CLASS DESCRIPTION: Mosaics are an art form that has been around for centuries. Learn the process and techniques for mosaic art, then apply them to the item of your choosing. One project is selected at registration for the class and other materials will be available to purchase to be made in class or at home. Projects include a trivet, flower pot, stepping stone, wall art, or house number plaque.
INSTRUCTOR: Stevo Sadvary is a master of mosaic finery and textile art who comfortably inhabits this unique artistic niche in the Pittsburgh area. Stevo, who grew up in Washington county and studied weaving and textiles at Edinboro University, has lived in Pittsburgh since 1989. Stevo, the owner and principal artist of Stevo Mosaics, has completed numerous private commissions ranging from kitchen backsplashes, showers, and fireplaces to pet portraits, corporate lobby art, and commercial signage. This includes signs for Mt. Lebanon Floral and Ona. Possessing a natural talent for working closely with his clients, he intuitively tailors his commissioned designs to suit their needs and visions. He often uses Photoshop to create digital montages that assist clients in envisioning the final work of art.
SKILL LEVEL Beginner/ Intermediate
TUITION $40 (due at time of registration) + MATERIAL FEE $15 (payable to instructor) + EVENTBRITE FEE $4.28 (due at time of registration)
MATERIAL COST(S) Mosaic kits will be purchased directly from the instructor and include ONE of the following:
A trivet, flower pot, stepping stone, wall art or house number plaque. All kits also come with ceramic tiles and grout.
BRING WITH YOU TO CLASS Students do not need to provide anything for the class.
INSTRUCTOR WILL PROVIDE Instructor will have tools available for student use.

REFUND / CANCELLATION POLICY Our instructors require a minimum number of students to teach. In order to minimize cancellations that inconvenience our instructors and other students, class cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to the start of class. Students who comply with this requirement will receive a full refund. Students who do not comply will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
