CLASS DESCRIPTION: Mosaics are an art form that has been around for centuries. Learn the process and techniques for mosaic art, then apply them to the item of your choosing. One project is selected at registration for the class and other materials will be available to purchase to be made in class or at home. INSTRUCTOR: Stevo Sadvary is a master of mosaic finery and textile art who comfortably inhabits this unique artistic niche in the Pittsburgh area. Stevo, who grew up in Washington county and studied weaving and textiles at Edinboro University, has lived in Pittsburgh since 1989. Stevo, the owner and principal artist of Stevo Mosaics, has completed numerous private commissions ranging from kitchen backsplashes, showers, and fireplaces to pet portraits, corporate lobby art, and commercial signage. This includes signs for Mt. Lebanon Floral and Ona. Possessing a natural talent for working closely with his clients, he intuitively tailors his commissioned designs to suit their needs and visions.
