Class – Reversible Hollow Silver Pendant with Carol Scheftic

carolReversiblehollowpendants

CLASS DESCRIPTION Have fun working with powered metal that has been mixed with an organic binder and water to create a clay-like form! You will learn the basics of working with metal clay, including how to form it into a domed shape. You will attach two domes to make an impressive reversible hollow “lentil-shape” pendant/bead! We will cover a range of design options, including the use of various textures, hanging mechanisms, and (with examples beyond those in the photo above) enhancing your piece with additional silver embellishments.

INSTRUCTOR For the past decade Carol Scheftic has been working with and teaching classes using a range of different “powder metallurgy” techniques. Carol has been certified as a metal clay Artisan by Rio Grande (a major jewelry supply company and importer of the PMC-brand of precious metal clays) and accredited as an Instructor in a program organized by Hadar Jacobson (USA-based inventor, manufacturer, and distributor of a line of base metal clays). She is a member of the Cranberry Artists Network, the Pittsburgh Society of Artists, and the International Guild of Miniature Artisans.
